Some things never age! Old stuff that I never get bored of and wear every summer since I got them. Don't ignore your old clothes! :)
Last week I went to a fabric store that I used to go a lot when I was living here full time and found some amazing fabrics. Two prints that I liked and I also got a plain black one to make some maxi dresses. I already made a dress today and I will show it to you soon, I just feel like I need to add something on the neckline but I will see, I'm not sure yet.

I could hardly keep my eyes open in the sun that day, it was so bright and the field reflected even more light.
This weekend I enjoyed the visit of a friend that I haven't seen since last year. We visited some really nice places but I wasn't in the mood to take any pics and too lazy after to even add these shots. When you are too tired you don't feel like doing much, just lay down and rest and that's how I feel after this weekend. I'm going to the gym today and that will put me back on track. :)
The bohemian look and all the fringes that I promised and I finally had the time to edit the pics.
Maybe its about time to tell you a little secret. :)
I've been designing clothes since I was 16 and I made a living out of it 6 years later when I started to sell my own stuff in my parents shop. I loved to do things for myself that no one else could have a try to be different. That corset is some of my work, that I made 7 years ago for a special event, that's why I remember when it was made. :) It took me 4 days to create because the hand made sewing adding the lace and the ribbons to cover the stitches. It was hard work as I never made corsets before. It's easy to make a boob tube but hard to create the cups and everything for a corset.
I've learned sewing and cutting in my own way without any help from anyone, I have done lots of mistakes but I've learned from them. Before I moved to the UK I ended up working as a designer for a small company after I gave one of my friends a dress to wear and her boss was quite impressed with it and she asked me to work for her. But moving to UK made me stop making clothes as before because I didn't have a place to go to every day and pick a nice fabric and just create something.
So for a while I used to do unique customized skirts and sell them on eBay. But I hate doing the same things all the time that's why I always need other options and choices. I believe I hate the routine and I move to an old job when I'm bored with one. Now you know a bit about me and I do hope to create my own collection one day and if that happens you will be the first to know. :)
Topshop khaki mini skirt
Topshop crossbody khaki bag
Topshop waistcoat customized by me adding lots of vintage brooches and army badges
Topshop Freedom dog tags
Dorothy Perkins multi chains long necklace in silver and gold chains and self made chunky brass necklace also large bangle that I made myself too
Primark sequins silver top
River Island summer gladiator boots
Ray Ban aviator sunglasses
I spent around 2 weeks finding all that brooches to give that particular military look to my waistcoat. Some of them I found on eBay others in local vintage shops and I didn't stop getting them until I was happy with the result. I'm a bit inpatient when I want to see the finished result but I had to wait on this. I will probably add some more but I don't wear brooches that much and unless I find them a purpose like in this case they don't motivate me enough to even look, except the vintage shops where you always find the most amazing things . I hope you like my military, army approach, not something that I will wear every day but nice for going out clubbing or to a party. For a day look I will remove all the jewellery or change the sequin top with something plain.

Graffiti walls, neutral tones and a touch of neon.
A few days ago I went with one of my friends to a terrace near the Bega river which crosses the centre of Timisoara and we managed to take some nice photos with some cool graffiti walls as background. We knew about these graffiti walls but most of them are near the road and it's hard to get there and take pictures. These are the polka dots jeans that I got from Stradivarius the other day and talked about on my last post.
I noticed that are lots of activities happening on the Bega right now comparing with last year and I must check them out. But it's too hot to do anything, too hot even for me, 37-38 degrees every day for the last 2 weeks, just a touch of rain for a couple of hours. :(
I want to thank everyone for the lovely comments and I try to reply as soon as I can to all of them and a huge thanks to these 2 lovely bloggers to name me for these 2 awards! Floral Today for the Versitile Blogger Award and to The Headless Stylist for the Liebster Award. x
